Toddlers enjoy creating and using their imaginations. These toddler Bible Crafts are fun and easy. They require inexpensive materials and low preparation.
Bee Thumb Body: "I Am Special" Theme
Materials:
- Black ink pad
- Crayons
- White paper
- Baby wipes
Directions:
Preparation: At the bottom of the white paper write something like "Jesus Made Me Thumb Body Special."
- Carefully place a toddler's thumb on a black ink pad and dot the white paper with the thumb print.
- Let the child draw the antennae, wings, and legs on the thumb print.
- Use a baby wipe to clean ink of fingers.
Tip: It helps to draw a picture yourself and put it where the children can look at your example.
Memory Verse Chains: Any Bible Story
Materials:
- Strips of colored construction paper (about 7 inch x 1.5 inch)
- Tape
- Markers
- Crayons
- Stickers (optional)
Directions:
Preparation: On each strip of construction paper, write a memory verse that the children are learning.
- Let the children decorate their strips of paper with crayons and/or stickers.
- Let the children watch as you show them how to intertwine the paper to make links. Tape the links closed.
Tip: Younger children tend to tear paper easier, so make the strips at least 7 inches x 1.5 inches to deter that from happening.
Sock Puppet: "God Made Me" Theme
Materials:
- Medium-sized white sock
- 2 big buttons (should be the same shape and size)
- Felt scraps
- Yarn
- Glue
- Scissors
Directions:
Preparation: Cut yarn to be the right length for hair for the puppet. Cut felt pieces into shapes of mouth and nose.
- Lay a sock in front of each child and fold the top of the sock down (the toe side).
- Let children glue on the buttons for eyes. Watch carefully that no one puts a button in their mouth.
- Let children glue on the mouth and nose felt pieces.
- Let children glue on the yarn for hair. Let dry.
- When children slip their hands into the puppet, the place where you folded the sock down becomes the puppet's mouth.

Materials:
- 2 chunky sponges (different colors, 1 rectangular, 1 oval)
- Thin sponge dishcloth

- Have the children roll up their thin sponges and glue them down at the end. This will be their smokestacks.
