Make a Snow Candle

Supplies you need:

What you do:

1. Melt the wax in a double boiler sauce pan and add the crayon. If you want a scented candle you can add candle scent that you can but at any arts and crafts store. ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED: candle wax is extremely HOT. Use pot holders or oven mitts at all times.

2. Dig a hole in the snow to make your candle mold. Remember, basically, the size of the whole will be the size of your candle so do not make it too big.

3. Dip wick into melted wax and allow to dry. You want the wick to be about 1 inch longer than your candle hole will be. This will make it slightly stiff and allow you to put it in your mold.Allow the wax to cool for about an hour.Go back outside and carefully dig up your candle. You may have to trim the bottom of the candle so it will sit straight.

4. Wrap or tape the top of the wick to the middle of a small stick or pencil. Place the wick in the middle of the candle mold allowing the pencil to lay across the top and hold the wick in place,

5. Slowly pour the wax into the mold. As the wax cools you can poke a few tiny holes with a needle to allow air to escape. Add more wax if you need too. Allow you snow candle to cool for about an hour or so. Now dig up your wonderful candle and share it with friends and family.
