Earth Day occurs on April 22nd every year. It is a fun holiday when everyone takes a look at the Earth and thinks about what can be done to enjoy it and keep it safe. On that day, many people practice recycling in their communities. They often get together and have activities to beautify and clean up the neighborhood.

There are a lot of fun activities you and your children can do together on Earth Day. Making an Earth Day crown is a fun activity for preschoolers and toddlers. They can wear the crown as they participate in Earth Day activities.

While making this crown, discuss with the child why it is important to protect the animals and plants on Earth and ways that she can do that. Encourage children to do simple things like picking up trash or using a regular glass instead of a disposable paper cup.
