Make Some Dinosaur Eggs

Explore the world of dinosaurs with these fun dinosaur eggs.

This is a fun craft that you can tie into so many things. A ancient history "dig", a scavenger or treasure hunt, a fossil unit. The ideas are endless!

Dinosaur Eggs

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup flour

1 cup used coffee grinds

1/2 cup salt

1/4 cup sand

3/4 cup water

small plastic dinosaurs

What you do:

1. Mix all dry ingredients together in a medium sized bowl. Slowly add water and knead until the mixture is the consistency of bread dough.

2.Break off a piece of dough and roll it into the size of a baseball. Make a hole in the center of the ball big enough to hide treasures in. Place a tiny dinosaur inside the egg.

3. Let your dinosaur egg air dry for 2-3 days or until hard or bake in the oven on a cookie sheet at 150* degrees for 15-20 minutes.

NOTE:Make different colored eggs by adding 1 tablespoon of powder tempera paint to the mix to color your Dinosaur Eggs different colors.
