Add some fun to your study of history with crafts.

A fun way to spice up any study of history is by adding hands-on projects and crafts. This gets the students involved, sparking their creative interest and helps them retain what they learn.

I will be posting some crafts that we have done for our history projects but it is easy to do. The projects you choose can be as simple or as complicated as you (or your student) want them to be.

Basic ideas include:

Making sculptures of buildings

Creating clothing from the time period

Making games kids played back then

Making a book with interactive pieces

Making artifacts from the time period.

Send me pictures and ideas of ways you have incorporated crafts into your history lessons and I will post them on here.

Happy Crafting,

Belinda
