Thanksgiving Decorating

Fall is such a wonderful time of year for crafting. As mentioned in an earlier blog there is so much from nature to craft with! Leaves are a perfect example of this. Gather leaves and make crayon impressions to hang around the house. Simply tack the beautiful colored leaves to walls and windows for quick and easy decorations. No colored leaves where you live? Find perfect "fake" ones at your local craft store.

Hand prints make a wonderful turkey body. Add colorful feathers and wiggly eyes and you have the perfect Thanksgiving keepsake to give to grandma and grandpa.

Pumpkins and gourds can be carved, painted on and candles made out of them. Spill a cornucopia of miniature ones onto the table with scatter leaves for a simple but elegant table decoration.

Let children make Thanksgiving place settings and placemats. Laminate colored paper that you have glued leaves, stickers and other fall decorations onto. This is a great way to use the turkey hand prints.

But remember, no matter what you do to celebrate with friends and family and include the kids in the crafting and enjoyment of the holiday.

Happy Crafting,

Belinda
